What does it cover

This qualification covers a wide range of subjects required by someone working in the gas utilisation industry including:
• health and safety
• scientific principles
• combustion and properties of gas
• buildings, services and structures
• core gas safety
• installation of domestic gas cookers, tumble dryers and leisure appliances
• maintenance of domestic gas cookers, tumble dryers and leisure appliances. Completion of this qualification combination will enable Gas Registration in the following categories: CCN 1, CKR 1, LAU 1, LEI 1, CPA 1, MET1/2, CoNGLP1 PD.

How is the qualification assessed

This qualification is assessed by: on-screen exams
• simulated practical assessments
• performance in the workplace.

What is this qualification?
